Days go by and my eyes dry and I think I'm fine, but I'm just waiting for the next wave. Another season begins, and I'm fighting with all my might, I don't want to lose, I don't want to sacrifice anyone, I can't give up, I can't give in, my feet are calloused and I know I'm walking on hot coals. Every part of me recognizes that I cannot stand at the edge of the cliff, and I begin to swim against the current.

I looked back one last time—at the house of glass, at the husband of iron, and at the man who tried to save a ghost. “The performance is over,” I whispered to the waves, and then I let the next swell take me under. The water was a crushing, silent weight. Underneath the surface, the sounds of the party—the clinking glass, my mother’s shrill laughter, the men’s hollow arguments—were replaced by a rhythmic, heavy thrum. For a second, I let the darkness hold me. No contracts. No spare tire labels. Just the cold, honest sea.

My words got stuck in my throat. Rivers chuckled softly. “You can do the same too, Phina… if you stop limiting yourself and actually improve your powers.” I blinked repeatedly. “Wait…” I pointed at him in shock. “You mean I can do what you just did if I fully unlock my powers?” He nodded calmly. Immediately I sighed and slowly turned my gaze toward the mountain standing in front of us and instantly Fear gripped my chest again. The mountain looked even taller today. “So I really have to climb this thing?” I whispered weakly. Rivers chuckled softly. “Yeah, Phina.”

Water whispers secrets, promising acceptance and connection, echoing the belonging I desperately seek on land. I emerged from the depths, droplets sliding down my shoulders, each one a reminder of my strengths and individuality. The sound of laughter pops into my mind, fighting with the noise of my thoughts—a sharp reminder of my loneliness. But then, in this moment of clarity, I decide to act. As I glide back into the water, I remind myself that while winter may color the world outside in cold shades, inside me there’s an ocean waiting to be discovered.

How do I feel, am I tired, what do I want to eat? I don't want to sleep without feeling his hugs. I don't want to sleep without feeling his kisses. I don't want to sleep without hearing his voice. Without him singing a soft song for me to sleep peacefully. I don't want to travel without him by my side. I don't want to hike a mountain without him holding my hand as he assures me that I won't fall and won't get hurt. I don't want to face my fears as I dive down the ocean without him holding my hand, making me feel safe.

Ocean woke up the next morning bright and early. She went to the bathroom, took a quick shower and changed in skinny blue jeans and pink floral top. She went downstairs and enjoyed her breakfast with Jack and Lora. After breakfast Jack and Lora left for shopping and ocean went to the garden.
