A Chance With The Hockey Alpha Captain

A Chance With The Hockey Alpha Captain

The trees remained quiet and attentive as a slight cold hung in the morning air. I had previously steered this pack through storms. External foes. Frontline tensions. Lack of resources. Internal division, however, was different. It was silent and more deadly. I stared into the black woods, aware that the danger I felt could not come from outside our borders but rather from within. "Damon, you are planning something," I mumbled to myself, "you undervalue me." Still, there was uncertainty regarding the timing rather than my power. Should conflict arise, it had to be managed. It had to be swift.

Emotional Pressure

Emotional Pressure

Forgetting she was still with the others, she almost collided with Laura who was beside her. Stephanie immediately nudged her from behind, "Snap out of it you dreamer," "Don't tell me you are attracted to the intern..." Henry spoke. "Is there a crime if I am?" Ashley nonchalantly questioned. Henry shook his head. "No, no. Go on,"

The Hockey Star's Remorse

The Hockey Star's Remorse

The engagement celebration had taken an unexpected turn, and I couldn't help but wonder how it had all spiraled into this chaotic confrontation. As the argument between Stella and Scarlett escalated, their voices filling the room with anger and frustration, I couldn't shake the feeling that I had been pulled into a battle that was not mine to fight. And as I watched Timothy's family navigate the storm of emotions that swirled around them, I couldn't help but feel like an outsider in their world—unwanted and unwelcome. The argument between Stella and Scarlett raged on, their voices a cacophony of anger and resentment that filled the room. As they exchanged barbed words and accusations, I seiz

Rival's Marriage Agreement

I replied immediately. He frowned. “No?” he repeated. “What do you mean no?” I shook my head slightly, trying to process what I was feeling, what I was remembering, what was trying to surface all at once. “This is not external,” I said. “It is internal.” Wilson made a small, panicked sound behind us. “I do not like internal problems,” he said. “External problems can be avoided. Internal problems sound like breakdowns.” Irene stepped closer. “What kind of internal?” she asked. “Memory? Programming? Physical response?”

The Billionaire's Temporary Mistress

The Billionaire's Temporary Mistress

The battle lines had shifted again. We had faced the external demon. But the internal cost, the glimpse into the abyss within the man I loved, was a confrontation I hadn't anticipated, and its echoes would resonate long after Cedar Falls faded into the distance. The silence in the cabin wasn't peace; it was the aftermath of detonation

Lost In Pain

she said quietly, “and what they believe.” Elias held her gaze. “Yes.” Silence. That was the real conflict now. Not truth versus lies. Memory versus structure. Aurora stood one last time. “I don’t want to lose myself in this,” she said quietly. Elias’s voice softened slightly. “Then don’t let them define your internal version,” he said. A pause. “Even if they define the external one.” Aurora nodded slowly. “That sounds like survival,” she said. “It is,” Elias replied.

The Badboy Bully Is My Alpha Mate

Something was bugging me, and I knew what it was. There was a question I needed to answer, and I didn't have the answer I was going to give him. Nothing quite like internal conflict right?

But then, suddenly, Caleb pulled away from me, leaving me confused and breathless. I groaned in protest, trying to pull him back in, but he resisted. When I opened my eyes to look up at him, I saw him fighting an internal battle with himself. His eyes were troubled, but he seemed to be winning that internal battle. Finally, he closed his eyes on a sigh and when he opened them again, his eyes were a lighter shade of blue, exuberating calm and control; complete opposites of what I was feeling.

Rite of Submission

Rite of Submission

I let it go longer than I should have. The longer I waited, the harder it was to break away. I rested my head on his chest, not yet willing to escape from his embrace. I shouldn’t have let him kiss me. The backlash was already coming at me as a torrent of conflicting emotions that swirled within me, and I still couldn’t sort out which ones were mine and which ones were not. The muscle in his jaw feathered as he clenched and unclenched it. I didn’t seem to be the only one struggling with internal conflict. He let his arms fall and took a step back to look at me. “Will you tell me what happened between you and your wolf?”

So far it’s amazing! Surprised to not see as many reviews on here! I see that there’s a second book to continue the story and it’s still ongoing. So have to admit that I don’t look forward to reaching the latest chap ter and having to wait for updates. I’ll be at the edge of my seat! Must read!

Enticing start. Both storyline and characters are well thought out. It is obvious that the author has it planned and written out. Just bought the first 18 of 36 chapters and wondering what the update schema is.
