The sea wind, thick with the smell of salt and brine, scoured the deck again and again. Sofia stood at the ship's railing, her makeup a complete mess from tears. "Enzo, stop searching," she said, her voice growing shriller. "Isabella has already gone under! This is the open sea—you won't find her body! Come back up! Do you hear me?"
