The sea wind, thick with the smell of salt and brine, scoured the deck again and again. Sofia stood at the ship's railing, her makeup a complete mess from tears. "Enzo, stop searching," she said, her voice growing shriller. "Isabella has already gone under! This is the open sea—you won't find her body! Come back up! Do you hear me?" Enzo seemed not to hear her at all. Time after time, he dove beneath the waves and resurfaced, his eyes bloodshot and burning from the salt water. But he always came up empty.

"By the way, I've worked hard to seek justice for you. No matter what happens, at least I won't regret it." She smiled. "I've heard that all seas in the world are connected. So, this time next year, I'll be seeing you from a different beach." She looked at the sea one last time before turning around. What she saw sent chills down her back. Even through her cap, she could see a figure coming down from the yacht. It was Wyatt! She instinctively turned around. At the exact moment, Wyatt, who was coming down from the yacht, stopped in his tracks. He had an odd feeling which made him look up to see someone turning around.
