One that opened with a hiss and spit sap that smelled like cinnamon and gunpowder. Demian named it Kaia’s mood. I threatened to throw him in the river. He dared me. I didn’t. But only because the water was cold. --- The loom-spinners arrived on day seventy-two. We hadn’t expected them. Seven of them—eyes sharp, hands smoother than I expected. They wore red sashes that shimmered when they walked, and carried no weapons.

I had done a short research on my last challenge and was going to try and win his kiss tonight. His name was Noah Miller. They called him too pure, a romantic who will not kiss without having feelings for the girl. Well, I wasn’t in a mood to do this, but I just wanted to be done with those dates. I loved my fans and I kind of owed them one last story. It was a bittersweet feeling.
