It took her a moment to process what was just said. She immediately stopped stirring her kare-kare and looked at Claire in shock. "You are?" She asked in disbelief. Claire grinned and nodded, making Lexie overjoyed as she hugged her cousin tightly.

Chapter 4 Lexi's POV As Mr. Anderson leads Mr. Wilson into the party and into the VIP lounge, I notice Mr. Anderson laughing as if Mr. Wilson has just said the funniest thing in the world. In reality, Mr. Wilson has only been nodding and grunting to seem polite I'm guessing. I've worked at many of Mr. Anderson's parties, and while I know he is very wealthy, it’s eye-opening to see someone so rich behave like a total sycophant. I guess what they say about money having levels is true.

Andrew and Maya came in as a couple, while Leon and Hannah mingled with the crowd. "Let's switch dance partners so we can have everything you need to know in the open because I am sure you didn't," Andrew said through the mind link. He would have used the mind link to tell me everything there was to know, but that would make him lose concentration, and it could be suspicious.

At least I wasn’t the only one thinking about it. The guy chuckled and lifted his hands in mock surrender. “Relax, bro. Didn’t know you’d gone territorial.” He slid back into his seat, and the girls clung to him again like bees to honey. Andrew sat on a separate couch, pulling me down beside him. He gestured between us. “Elena, this is Lexis and Marley. We went to college together.” “Hi,” I said, forcing confidence into my tone even though my voice wobbled a little

“Helena is my middle name, so, you know, Lanie.” Andrew’s chest rose sharply with an inhale. “Right. It’s very nice.” So we’re not going to say anything? I internally screamed. Are we just going to act like we don’t know each other? Was that for the best? Or was Andrew staying mum because revealing our relationship would be too shameful?
