A minute passed but none of the great wrestlers was making an attempt to arise. Suddenly, my mantra was picked up again by a pup, followed by his mother and soon, the entire pack. Tears flowed down my eyes and I waved my red cloth head high, joining in the chant. Lucas moved a finger, then shook his head. The cries of “Get up, champion !” electrified the air and excited chills tickled my spine. Finally, Lucas shook a fist in the air and cries of jubilation exploded everywhere. Slowly, the indomitable champion rose from the dirt, leaving his dead opponent behind.

Unless it was for an official reason, saying both names aloud was straight-up treason. I slapped Luca’s thigh three times, hyping him up even though my throat was tight. “You’ve got this, brother,” I urged him. The Watcher sneered at both my brother and his opponent. “Show him what love feels like.” The crowd jeered and hollered as Luca entered the ring. I stared at the thick scar slashing across the watcher's brow, a savage trace of his past battles, now he was the one who dragged the losers out. “You know the rules,” he called. “Fight till submission. No tears in the ring and no mama here to babysit you little puppies. Lose, you already know what happens and the punishment that awaits.”

Arthur chuckled. Rainer sighed and walked towards the center of the arena. He gazed upwards at the holographic screens to see his name and fight record. "It better not be another scorpion" he muttered under his breath. He noticed the other entrance didn't have steel bars this time. After a few seconds of waiting a figure began to appear, a green lizard man with four arms and a sword in each hand. The lizard was a little taller than Rainer, and wasn't wearing any clothes aside from a scaly blue headband around his head. As the lizard man walked over, he let out a battle cry, displaying his sharp teeth for the crowd.

Just fist and fury. Rafael lunged again, ignoring the searing pain in his knee. He tackled Lorenzo hard to the ground. The two rolled in the dust like animals, grappling, punching, choking, blood staining their clothes and the concrete beneath them. Lorenzo clawed at Rafael’s wound, digging his fingers into the injured leg, and Rafael let out a roar, rage-fueled, not pained.

I asked, and look at her. She sighed and scratch her left eyebrow. “Boxing… kickboxing… MMA fighters, and more… we’re used to watching them on the big screen—illegal fight clubs are more than present in this world. That’s who they are. C.U permits this because they have licensed, okay? Does it clear your thoughts? Ah!” she sneered. “Just watch them, and let's cheer for Linus,” she said, then shouted, “GO L!” I sighed. Again, what else I can do. As if I have a choice—well, I have a choice, but… ugh! he's making me mad most of the time. I hate to admit it but damn—I hate this thought of falling in.

Now… it feels like I’m beating a dead horse. But Creed will worry if I stay in the penthouse all day, so I’ll humor Luka and go along with this. My moves are rusty; he seems to predict every punch or kick and reacts before I can even do it.
