The envoy from the Sunlit pack arrived a week later, the envoy consisted of seven men and five women with the Alpha included. The Alpha George was a tall huge chunk of a man with bluish black hair that brought attentions to his fiery eyes. He had an intimidating aura surrounding him that screamed for submission. The Alpha Lucien, his son Damien and a few emissaries were present to welcome them. Though of smaller built than George, Lucien was no less intimidating with his pale white skin, cold blue eyes and well-proportioned muscles.

She wore a sleeveless jersey dress that hugged every curve, its deep V-neck leaving little to the imagination. Flora Amor’s jaw dropped despite herself. The woman was breathtaking—flawless skin, sculpted features, the kind of beauty that commanded attention without trying. Even the way her hips swayed when she walked seemed choreographed to tempt. A luxury bag hung from her arm—Louis Vuitton. Wow. Fancy. The woman stopped in front of her, and Flora Amor got a better look: perfect foundation, long lashes, pink-coral lipstick shaped like a heart. She was, without question, stunning.

Her long black hair flowed down her waist, and her white off-shoulder blouse paired with denim flare pants hugged her slim waist and legs perfectly. “I just want to give you this. Olivia asked me to give it to you. A gift from their trip to Lumierre Empire,” Amelia said sweetly as she stepped closer. Lucas couldn’t explain it, but something about her aura today was different—almost seductive, even though she wasn’t doing anything special. “Try it. Olivia said you’d really like that chocolate.” Amelia smiled, already imagining how Lucas’s day would be ruined once he ate the drugged chocolate.

The scent of lavender and warm bathwater filled the air, and the first thing that caught my eye was her—a vision of vulnerability, completely exposed to me. Luxuria stood just a few feet away, her back to me, stepping out of the bath. Her wet skin glistened in the dim light, beads of water tracing the curves of her pale, perfect body. Her hair, long and curly, clung to her back like silken tendrils, dripping with water that ran down the curve of her spine, disappearing into the hollow of her waist before it slid over the swell of her hips.

One still flickering in her true grotesque form, the other in her polished Selene disguise, both standing here and simply watching without attacking. To my right, Jaden is on the ground groaning, and clutching his chest as blood continues to pour from the wound. Maddox is nearby, barely steady. I can’t even properly sense Miles and Morien but everything feels distorted. “Are you okay?” Lux rushes toward me and grabs my hand to pull me up. Luxuria's room is at the very end. When she opens the door, I'm hit with warmth and color. Where Aphros's room was clean lines and silk, this is sensual chaos. The bed is enormous and covered in pillows in every jewel tone. Candles everywhere, already lit. The air is thick with jasmine and something muskier underneath. "Welcome to my temple," she says, closing the door behind us. The lock clicks with finality. "This is where I teach mortals what they really want." Lux watched Lorenzo's expression darken little by little until his face turned completely cold.
