I'm about ready to sulk about this shit. I ask her leading questions and she evades them like a pro, something I'm going to remember when the truth finally does come to light. Her lying ass is going to get it. Maggie had come running back around the house from the backyard where her sister and I were following after her. "Come Sian. Come see what Jace got me." She tugged on her sister's arm and I distracted her by picking her up and twirling her around. Sian's nosy ass walked ahead of us. "You got her a pony?"

Liam thought she looked a bit creepy but quickly waved it off as he remembered he came for something and couldn't afford to lose track of himself. "Maggie right?" Liam asked, fixing his gaze directly at her. "You remember Ms James, don't you?" Liam asked, going straight to the point without letting her speak. "Of course...my Alpha. She was a very good friend of mine...I miss her," Maggie said, suddenly turning sullen. "It was believed that her daughter killed her...what do you think about that?" Liam asked, maintaining his intense gaze at Maggie. Maggie remained quiet for a while. Liam watched her express her sadness at the death of Ms James.

“Mom, Sky is Lyric’s sister. She’s waiting to meet her now, out by the causeway. They have to come in human form to take your human form, so we are hopeful we’ll be able to talk Sky out of whatever she’s intending to do.” Maggie’s smile looked genuine but it hardly reached her eyes. “Thank you for trying, Ru. I guess I knew this day would come eventually.” She tilted her head back, closing her eyes, a look of defeat on her face. “At least I got to meet you first.”

Why was she doing this to me? But in the end, I only shook my head. Magnolia quietly sighed in relief and then pulled me into her arms again. "I'll find a way to make you better." A nurse came in to change my dressing, and only then did Magnolia let go of me. I turned my head and caught the strange look on the nurse's face. She was so startled that she dropped her phone. On the screen was a video of my sister's corpse being desecrated. In the video, several men took turns assaulting her body. Their ragged breathing drowned out the sounds of me being beaten in the background. By the time the last man left, my sister's body was so badly ravaged that it barely looked human.

Maggie grumbled, looking at me in the mirror, “You don’t look like a chicken, don’t listen to him.” I sat there while Maggie carefully curled my hair and did my makeup, skillfully moving with the grace and precision of an artist. “You should be a makeup artist, Maggie.” I said as she applied false eyelashes. “I do this because I love you. And I want you to look drop-dead goregous. I want that bitch Queen to know who she’s messing with.” Maggie said knowingly. My face fell, and I pulled away, “Maggie… How do you know?” I whispered. She looked a little taken aback; she opened her mouth to reply just as someone knocked at the door, “It doesn’t take an idiot to know who killed your mom, Bella.”

“Dominic, I’m in so much pain!” I mimicked Ava’s voice. I mimicked it exactly from her tone to her sighs. Dominic trembled like a leaf. He mumbled to himself, “Don’t come looking for me. If you want someone, go find Logan. I already killed him. I avenged you.” I yanked a steel nail from my leg and stabbed at him. The bloody nail pierced his heart. Blood splattered everywhere. He screamed and fainted. The next morning, Dominic’s screams echoed in the bedroom.

Hannah cried but Maggie kept trying until we heard a sentence clearly "R-Rogues. T-They s-said t-they were c-coming f-for you" she gurgled out while staring straight at me and my breath hitched Maggie began to convulse violently, coughing up blood as she her body shook "Maggie? Maggie!" Hannah and Alpha Scott kept calling her name but to no avail I watched with horror, totally motionless as Maggie's eyes rolled to the back of her head and her body stopped convulsing; going completely still

It wasn’t like Maggie was very organized but she didn’t want to appear disorganized as she wanted to leave a good impression on the first day . She began to ponder on her life and how she needed to get her shit together . The thought of how the current situation of her life would have been if Mr Choi didn’t show up, increased her worry . She continued to go deeper in her thoughts until she fell asleep. It was already evening hours and Maggie was still fast asleep . Had she forgotten about the dinner Mr Robert had informed her of ? “Ma’am , are you awake?” She heard a light persistent knock on her door from her sleep.
