Charlotte’s eyes get stuck to the sheet as he opens it and lays it down on the table. Azraiel looks expectantly at Charlotte. Charlotte takes in the sketch in front of her with a clenched jaw. She is aware of the burning gaze of her mate.

"Why don't we show our paintings now and calm down?" Celeste glared at me but obligingly lifted her painting and showed us both. She smiled proudly. "A large black wolf running across an open field in the moonlight. Majestic and reminiscent of Maddox's black wolf." It was impressive. Clearly Celeste was also artistically gifted. She had probably had lessons. I picked up my painting and turned it around, allowing Rosalie and Celeste to get a good look. It was a painting of Celeste, crouched down on the grass, bottom exposed, a large rainbow poop beside her, like the emoji.
