Raine Owl House Novels & Stories

Kale steps into the living room area, taking a seat on a dark sofa. “You can take a show back there.” He points at a closed door. “When you’re done, come out, and talk to us.” I blink slowly. I shouldn’t be here. “Raine?” He sees me second guessing everything. “You’re not leaving here tonight. Accept that. Go clean up.” I shuffle across the room to the door, opening and closing it behind me. I am faced with a very open concept bedroom. The windows are large and you can see the entire city. It reminded me of home, which is where I should be.

Its surrounding environment was great, and it was normal for there to be wild animals from time to time. Olivia had just fallen asleep. She hadn't gotten into a deep sleep yet. She immediately opened her eyes when she heard the owl hooting. Normally, Ethan would already be home at this hour, but he wasn't home yet. Madam Burgess hadn't been staying in recently, too. She was the only one in the enormous house. The room was in complete darkness. There were only some warm yellow lights in the yard. She saw a large owl as soon as she opened her eyes.

Raven covered her mouth with her hand when she saw the picture on the big screen. A man was bloody while lifeless lying in the doorway. Half of its body is outside the door and the other half is inside. It stretched its hand out as if it was crawling outwards, but it could not do so because it had already died. There was a bloodstain on the floor. “What happened to him?” Kyra asked. “He is the new owner of the house,” said Cain. Beatrix showed the house from the outside to the inside. It is beautiful and its design was modern. It has a color black and white paint.

I feel tears well in my eyes while looking up at the home they built for us and our pups. “We love you Raven, just like you we wanted a place that’s ours. If we have guests, they can stay at the guesthouse down the road, and the staff have their own apartments further down the road,” Embry smiles at me as I stare at our house in awe, when I realize all my younger less experienced warriors from Wolf Creek are surrounding the house. “What is this?” I question, looking around when Michael and Sara walk forward bowing their heads in greeting.

Zitrey was about to say something when her eyes glued at the pair of jade-green eyes staring at her, widely. At the same time, the long raven hair of the owl logo Guy fell from his shoulder and gracefully dance with the wind. Because of this, Zitrey was filled with nostalgia when she smells the fragrance of the owl logo Guy shampoo. It smells sweet... like a newly bloomed flower at Spring – a flower called Jasmine.

Her grey eyes were wide and fascinated, tracking my every movement like I was the most interesting thing she had ever seen. "I still can't believe you're real," she said suddenly, her voice filled with wonder. "I mean, I know you're real. You're right there. But I can't believe you're real." I blinked at her, unsure how to respond. "She's fascinated by you," Kealen said through our link. "She's never seen a colorful owl like you before." "I'm the prettiest Owl. Of course she's never seen anything like me." "Don't let it go to your head."

inquired a sarcastic deep voice. "Yes!" Arabelle smiled and stretched out her hands. "Good, then leave my room now! " The owl said loudly, causing Arabelle to stop what she was doing and look around the room until their gazes met. The ear tufts on this bird are distinctive, and the upper parts are mottled with darker blackish coloring and tawny. Barred wings and tail. The underparts are a mottled buff with darker streaks. The facial disc is barely visible, but the orange eyes stand out; it stood about 8ft tall. "Do you know that if you look at me like that, I can sentence you to death?" grumbled the creature. Arabelle immediately took her gaze away from the bird.

He slammed the door shut, the SUVs tearing up the gravel as they moved toward the guest parking structures, leaving us standing in the cold, dark shadows of the lawn. Xavier turned his head to look at me, his silver eyes narrowing as he caught the faint, persistent vibration still humming beneath my skin. "The wind is shifting, Raine," he whispered, his hand resting lightly on the hilt of his blade. "The wolves are already in the house. Keep your head down for one more night, because when that ballroom door opens tomorrow, the hunt officially begins.”

he ground out angrily. “What about these birds?” she asked while touching one of them, trying to see if she could nurse them back to health. “They’re dead, and anybody could be up here. Get inside!” He shouted, and though Regina disagreed, she did it anyway. She watched in the window as Owen rustled the bushes with the bat, shined the light of his phone on the pool, and circled the whole area. After he was done, he picked up the birds and noticed their bodies broken, as if they got crushed before hitting the window. But he was not an expert on birds, so he kept the information from Regina to prevent it from scaring her.

Raine POV The house was silent when I finally climbed into bed, but my mind was anything but. Sleep didn’t come easily. It never did. I lay on my side, staring at the ceiling, listening to the distant hoot of an owl outside my window. My ribs still ached from Ronan’s shove earlier, and my mother’s words still echoed in my head. I squeezed my eyes shut, willing the thoughts away. The world felt so heavy. I curled into myself, wrapping my arms around my middle, as if I could hold all the broken pieces of myself together.
