I paced the room, attempting to make it clear that the man’s presence was irrelevant. “Babe, don’t you think it’s time we picked up Ariella?” I interrupted, my tone leaving no room for discussion. After what looked like some while, that man left while Juliet entered with a lady to clear the table. Our eyes met which was quick to avert.....I crept a smile. “What’s that for?” Racheal asked, stepping closer and cupping my cheeks in her delicate hands. She leaned in for a kiss, but I didn’t reciprocate.

“You want to put my life on a reality show.” “I want to save your career, Mr. De Santis, and this is how we do it. Consider it mandatory community service with better lighting.” She slid a folder across the desk. “And to sell it properly, you need a story. A person. The narrative research team is very clear that redemption arcs perform significantly better with a and I’m quoting the memo ‘grounding romantic thread.’” “A romantic thread.” “A girlfriend, Luca.” He almost laughed. She exuded the aura of a woman in control- as if she hadn't just weathered a heartbreak a month ago. As if she hadn't just signed a contract to publicly date someone for the sake of revenge. Damien emerged alongside her, decked out in a midnight-blue suit that matched the storm brewing in his eyes. Without a glance in her direction, his hand instinctively reached for hers, and their fingers intertwined. The crowd erupted into a buzz of excitement. "Mr. Cole! Is this your new girlfriend?"
