~Ruby's POV~ “So what have you been doing all day?” I asked, closing the door behind me. “Mom!” Little Ruby squealed, running to hug me “Roman’s been helping us draw. Look!” She held up a page filled with a colorful creature. “Is this supposed to be Raphael from TMNT?” I said with a raised brow. “Yes, Mum.” I smiled faintly, ruffling her hair. “Looks like you’ve been busy.” Rhett stood up, holding out another drawing. “This one’s mine. Roman said it’s the best.”

Roman never left his door open, not even an inch. My curiosity got the better of me. I nudged the door open slowly. That’s when I saw him. Roman was sitting on the edge of his bed, shirtless, his lean muscles flexed under the dim glow of his computer screen. His head was tilted slightly back, mouth parted. His hand gripped his thigh tight. On the screen in front of him, a woman moaned breathlessly as a man moved between her legs, fucking her hard. I froze. Every nerve in my body lit up.

Over the past three years, this was the first time I had seen her smile so freely. The chat appeared again. The photo was of her and Natalia standing by the sea, both dressed in flowing white, their smiles bright and carefree.

"Mr. Zeller, thanks for coming." Jeffrey was delighted Felix had arrived so quickly. It made him have a good impression on others. "No trouble at all. Where's the patient?" In the living room, a woman stood up. She had a doll-like face that instantly sparked protective instincts. She looked petite and charming as she smiled sweetly. Her two dimples made her seem even more enchanting. "This is Felix Zeller. Just call him Mr. Zeller, as I do! Felix, this is my friend, Rosalyn Ruby. She's from the Ruby family—one of the Eight Great Martial Families," Jeffrey explained.

[RICARDO'S MANSION - LIVING ROOM] The massive flat-screen TV displayed Ruby's latest runway show, the footage captured in stunning high definition. Ruby sat curled up on the plush sofa, squeezed between her boyfriend Ricardo and his older sister Summer, a bowl of popcorn balanced precariously on her lap. "Oh my God, pause it, pause it!" Summer shrieked, pointing at the screen. "Ruby, what is that face you are making? You look like you are constipated!"

"This one is my favorite! Look at this, Vivian." I reluctantly glanced at the screen and felt my cheeks heat up. The photo showed me in the hot springs, steam rising around me. My face was flushed, eyelashes damp from the heat, and I was looking off to the side with a relaxed expression. I had to admit, it was a good photo. "We could sell this to Sylvan for a fortune," Ruby joked, zooming in on the image. "He'd probably pay enough to fund our hot spring addiction for years." Emma laughed. "I bet he would. He couldn't take his eyes off you on the mountain, Vivian."
