Run With The Wind Novel English Novels & Stories

Warm air filled the car, making it cozy inside. When we reached the tomb, I prepared to get out as soon as the car stopped. However, the moment I opened the door, Seth grabbed me by the collar and yanked me back. Throughout the entire journey, my pale cheeks were flushed red by the warm wind. Seth's brows furrowed, and his eyes burned with anger when he saw that. "Who told you to come with Serena's fiancé? "I thought those five years in the countryside would make you obedient and well-behaved, but you're still so shameless!

She rolled down the window and waved at me. Simon then said naturally, "Get in. I'll take you both home." When he saw my eyes fall on the passenger-seat sticker that said "Girlfriend Only," he frowned, somewhat impatiently. "Gem has a bad back. The passenger seat has more room. You can sit in the back this time." Look at that. He remembered every little thing about Gem. He remembered her bad back. He remembered her cramps. But somehow, he could never remember the old injury I had from moving all the heavy furniture.

Then, he wrapped his arms around my neck and closed his eyes tightly. "Kristina–" But the wind swallowed his voice as I shot off to the forest. Nathan gasped and clung to me very tightly. He wanted to say that their run was romantic. But the f*ck it wasn't. There was nothing romantic about the frigid and harsh wind slapping his face, nothing sweet about his ears popping from pressure. And especially not romantic about how fast we were running in his state of mind.

Rowena I ran. I ran so fast that the cold wind hitting my cheeks caused my tears to blow back across my face, into my hair. I ran so fast that I lost all of the breath from my lungs. I ran so fast that my knees felt weak and my feet stung from slapping against the pavement. And it still didn’t feel fast enough. Eric’s calls after me had long since faded, and I still hadn’t stopped. Even as the warriors’ village faded into the distance and all that was around me were the towering trees and the sounds of the night time creatures, I refused to stop.

___________ Emmy “Get back here! Keep running, and you will not see the light of day for a long time, Princess,” he screamed, his loud, obnoxious voice straining against the wind as I ran farther into the woods. A canopy of shadows danced a blurry tango around me as I pushed my aching legs faster over the dead foliage of autumn, my heavy breaths creating a crisp steam as the frosty night air burned my lungs. A deep, guttural howl in the distance, one full of raw power, had my heart racing faster as the very ground began to shake. Several howls answered it in return, and the wind itself seemed to still. The hunt was on.

At most, he could scroll through their old chats and feel sad for himself. Sean was not the type to wallow. Sitting on the plane, scrolling through old messages and crying quietly was far beneath someone like him. As a man used to winning, he refused to behave like a loser. Hence, throughout the twenty-three-hour flight to Sunland, Sean kept his eyes closed, resting. He was not a failure or a weakling. He was determined that once he arrived, he would win Eve back and restore their relationship to how it had been.

Without thinking, she ran in the direction she was facing. It was as if the atmosphere knew she was doomed because the entire weather changed. The brightness of the sun was dimmed by a cloud which had covered it and the burning heat of the sun was replaced with a strong wind. The calm sound of the forest was now taken over by the howl of the wind and the sound of trees as they were violently blown about. Hazel sprinted like she was in a race. The wind was so strong she felt like she was tearing through a sheet of cold as she ran.

A gust of wind blew hard, pushing me forward, showing me the way. “I’m coming, little wolf. Please, hold on!” I answered with a growl, feeling the muscles in my legs expand, pumping more strength and blood, propelling me into a frantic run. I slipped through the trees like a swift shadow. Any sect follower who tried to block my path was taken down without mercy. Every delay fueled my rage, and a chilling cold ran down my spine when lightning tore across the sky. Moments later, a deafening thunderclap echoed around me, and rain began to pour in torrents—a sinister omen.

I step out of the window. The wind rushes over me making my dress fly up. I land lightly on my feet and straighten out my dress. I look up and grin at him. He takes my hand and starts running. We are matched in speed though I believe I could go a little faster if I wanted. This is just a comfortable pace.

Elias wrapped his arm around Tania, guiding her away from the bustling press. Night had fallen, and a chilly breeze was blowing. Without thinking, Elias slipped off his jacket and placed it gently on Tania's shoulders. Tania shivered from the cold and nestled closer into Elias's embrace. Samuel stood in the crowd, his gaze fixed on Tania from afar. Whispers and stares surrounded him. Lucy lay unconscious on the ground, but Samuel had no intention of helping her.
