Little Women¹ Eloise Kingston The cold air and the eerie feeling settled on my skin as I stepped out of the car. Something felt strange, very strange. There's a change in the wind. That was what my uncle would say when something felt wrong. At this moment, something was wrong.

“The essence of this run isn’t just to win. It is to activate my speed and ability to disappear.” According to Alpha Lucien, I have absolutely no reason to wait for my wolf. Without it, I could run through the woods, climb trees, and build myself a lot firmer. But my goal is to make him proud for giving me reasons. I was still running with Alpha Lucien’s voice in my head when I suddenly felt a sharp gust of wind lash against my face, stealing the air from my lungs. My steps faltered. It wasn’t normal wind. It carried weight, force, like unseen hands shoving at my chest. My eyes flicked to the left, a shadow darting between the trees….too fast and too deliberate to be nature.

The wind whips through my hair and across my body, but it is not cold due to his body heat radiating off of him. Racing through the woods, I decide to be brave and sit up on my butt, digging my hands deep into the fur of his neck to ensure I don't fall. Jaxon is running at a full sprint and navigates the forest with ease and it is such an exilerating feeling like I am flying on his back.

The wind whipped against my face, and I couldn't help but let out a joyful laugh as we soared through the forest together. I rested my head on his back as he ran faster and faster, feeling the exhilaration of the wind rushing past us. The rhythmic pounding of Richard's footsteps echoed in my ears, creating a thrilling soundtrack to our adventure. With each stride, I could feel his strength and determination, fueling my own sense of freedom and exhilaration.

His fingers gripping the crutch turned white from the pressure. “I... I got transferred here to do logistics desk work now,” he said with a trembling voice. “How... how are you?” “I’m good,” I replied. His lips moved, and he seemed to want to ask something else. “Mommy!” A little girl ran out from the play area and threw herself into my arms. She looked up as she held a small bear she had won from a claw machine. Her eyes sparkled as she said excitedly, “Mommy, look! I got one!”

The menacing aura from before was swirling through the truck now, embedded in every sharp point of the fir trees outside and in every arched shadow. “He thinks it’s the wind,” I continued, keeping my eyes fixed on my pale, skinny fingers clutched around my knees, “and goes back to reading. But then there’s a tap on his window, and a raven flies in. He asks it questions, and it only answers with one word: ‘nevermore.’ He asks it about Lenore, but still its reply remains the same.

, i dont know why but i put my arms out and spin and blow with my mouth, i cant explain but i feel as though im calling the wind, i have no idea where my strength was coming frombut i have neverfelt so strong, I twirl my arms and the wind came, the more i twirled the stronger the winds got, nobody could see a thing, i could only just see Jonas, he was running but the wind kept pulling him back, most people had ducked as low to the floor as they could including Shannon whovwas still behind me, "You can drop the wind now" Jamie said through the mind link, so i dropped my arms slowly until they came to a stop and the wind died down until it was non existent.

CAMILLA Nothing was right. Everything was totally wrong and messed up. My heart beat drummed in my ears that the only thing I could hear was the heavy pounding of my heart. The wind whipped at my face at all sides, slapping my cheeks and swaying my hair around as I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. I had not seen any taxi so far in this secluded mansion of Braden's and waiting for a taxi was a waste of time so running until I spotted one seemed like the best idea to me.

He wrinkled his nose, looking at Jane, "You read this?" She sneered at him. "Gia read it to me, and I like it." "Surprise," he muttered ironically under his breath. "What did you say?" "Nothing," he grumbled, walking back to the bed and sitting on it. Now he was grateful his parents didn't have daughters, although his father wanted one; these people were pieces of hard work. "Ready?" She straightened her shoulders and nodded. He cleared his throat, opened the first page, and began, "On a mysterious island was a little girl. She was very adventurous," he raised a brow, "and her name was Alex...."
