Prologue

"It was my mistake to trust you," Richard said, his voice roaring in anger.

"I don’t know how to explain this to you," I said, my voice trembling.

"Explain; what is there to explain?" Richard smiled sadly. "Let me remind you if you have forgotten. You, Regina, killed our child." His voice trembles as he speaks those words to me.

"No...," I stopped. I can’t tell him the truth, not now. "Trust me, Richard. Please…" I begged.

"Trust. You want me to trust you after what you have done?" Richard sighed, staring at me with doubt. "You killed our child, and you want me to trust you after this…”

"Richard..." I mumbled. I wish I could have told you the truth about myself and the reason behind all my mistakes.

"Just leave before I can’t control myself from doing the unknown," Richard sighed, turning his back on me.

"Richard..." I tried to say.

"Leave," Richard, along with his wolf, used his alpha tone on me, and I couldn’t help but surrender to his demands.

I sighed, leaving Richard all alone in his miseries, unknown to reality.

I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing by hiding the truth from him. But I am scared of the unknown if Richard comes to know the reason behind all the lies that I shared with him from the start of our story.

"I’m sorry if I’m the reason for all the sadness in your life. But I promise, after today, there will be nothing but happiness in your life." I promised myself to destroy the root of these miseries in my and Richard's lives.

It's now or never. I will solve it, even if I have to kill myself for the cause.
