The sweet smell of seduction

The sweet smell of seduction

She smiles, approaching to pull me by my hand and drag me into the main area, which to me, a mobster, appears to be the wolves' den. I never thought that a counter made of wood would be my wall of protection from that night's unwanted customers. My fear is simple, because it is always easier for a policeman to recognize a criminal and pretend he knows nothing, than for a criminal to bump into one and not have to cease his life right there so that he leaves no clues.

Murder Inquiry

Murder Inquiry

He was given a twenty year sentence and he served three years in Dade county prison, after which he was released on grounds of good behaviour. Immediately after his release, he moved to Dallas, and took up a secutity job in one of the offices in downtown Dallas. He had only worked as a security guard for three months, when he was fired during a company downsizing. He applied unsuccessfully for another job in several companies, but no one hired him, they were always telling him they were not hiring. After three months of job hunting, Rodriguez decided to go back to his old criminal lifestyle. He started an armed robbery gang, with three other distraught job seekers like himself, who were also

Protecting My Mafia Princess: The Rise Of A Crime Boss

Protecting My Mafia Princess: The Rise Of A Crime Boss

With one slight adjustment of the hand, it continues, “I, myself, would like to say ruthless killer, but then we all know Vic Stone, you would never have walked out there alive.” And ya, I think I should, but I do not keep quiet, “I am glad to see that we agree on one thing.” “Oh no, I don’t agree. My question is, what was Colton Cruz doing there in the first place? See, this is how things work in this crazy fucked up Mafia business. You do not set your foot on someone else’s turf.” Well, this is where I need to stop it right in the fucking but.

Crimson Break

Crimson Break

The criminal chortles throaty and lifted his head to look at the ceiling before dragging his head down. "Oh I would definitely do that, after I shovel your grave." Detective Won replied to his blabber. "That's sweet, you would really make an effort for me. But let me correct that, no one is to dig the hole of my grave between all the people in this house. Because there are a lot of people who would shot their guns for the hero Detective Won Kenji and fold you a flag. While the great criminal Klyde McMarrow will be forever be remembered for being the greatest crook in the world, killed thousands of people, wealthy and a master of all wits." He chuckles.

HEAD OVER HEELS

HEAD OVER HEELS

Brody glared at her as he left the car in one swift movement to stand before her, big and dark and irrefutably menacing. “And for pity’s sake, stop being so damn ridiculous and get in the car. You know as well as I do how the crime rate has gone haywire in the last few years, and a tiny little thing like you, struggling along with a bulging briefcase, a huge briefcase, I might add, to someone living rough on the streets is just asking for trouble.”

Another hit from E.S. This one is a slow burn, and really no sex, but that doesn’t take away from the story. My heart hurt for the FL in this story, and her tragic beginning. The writer does an amazing job of helping you to understand and even feel the character’s angst. I highly recommend this one.

Street Diaries

Street Diaries

There was a pool of blood surrounding me in a matter of minutes, these men really went to work, and they were saving me for the last. Constant danger, threat to life, and the possibility of a short life stalks the line I chose to walk. When my teachers back in those days would say "crime don't pay," this was what they meant. But crime does pay, it does a lot actually. But just as it pays, it also pays back when you catch that bullet, or when you get your head bashed in by a baseball bat or some other things, the fucking result is the same, you end up dying in one horrible way or the other.

LOVE AND CRIME

LOVE AND CRIME

The crime architect hadn’t just built the crime, he had demolished the evidence. Clinton suggested that they go solo on the case- no lawyers, no official channels, and no paper trail that could alert the wrong people. According to him, the truth they were looking for wouldn’t be found in court records or legal archives. It would be buried in plain sight, scattered across old newspaper pages and forgotten television reports from that period. If there were inconsistencies, that was where they would surface.

Tidebound Heart

"Oh, I hit an extra zero." I grabbed my hair, feeling like I wanted to die. "This isn't about an extra zero! This is robbery! This is a crime! You could go to jail!" "Jail?" He frowned, confused. "Why? I got your money back and made them give back what they took. Why would I go to jail?" I stared at his calm, innocent expression, and couldn't get a word out. How did you explain criminal law to a being who could call hacking a "message"?

My Sentence for Her Crime

My Sentence for Her Crime

I replied, "I've always been the one taking care of myself." Her gaze dropped, a fragile, sorrowful curve on her lips. I gave a single nod, then turned and walked away down the tree-lined street. I didn't look back, but I could feel her standing there, watching me until I disappeared from view. Dark clouds gathered, and the rain began to fall—a light drizzle that quickly swelled into a downpour. From the taxi window, I saw her, still standing there, soaked to the bone, her figure small and empty. The woman who had once shattered my life would now serve the prison sentence that was rightfully hers.

Dear CEO, I Want a Divorce

Dear CEO, I Want a Divorce

When the first tall watchtower came into view, my stomach clenched. My mind flashed back to Robert… what he’d said about this place with a seriousness that made my stomach clench. “There are criminals you read about in the news,” he’d said. “Serial killers. Cartel bosses. White-collar monsters who steal billions. They become names the public actually knows. You see a face, you know the names and every tiny detail of their stories.” “But?” I’d asked. “But… then there are the ones you never hear about,” he replied. “The ones whose crimes are so twisted, so horrible, that the people in power quietly decide the public doesn’t need to know they exist. Blackwell gets those guys.”
