Step Brother Penelope Ward Novels & Stories

The sudden, intimate shift in proximity sent a jolt straight down Adrian's spine, short-circuiting his breath. "If we go in there," Theodore whispered, his voice rough and low against Adrian’s ear, "there’s no turning back. No corporate apologies, no paternal forgiveness. We declare total war on both of them." Adrian leaned into the touch for a fraction of a second before pulling back, his eyes flashing with a cold, absolute resolve. "My father already drew the bloodline, Theodore. I'm just finishing the fight." Theodore dropped his hand, turning sharply toward the back of the loft where a sprawling blueprint of the city’s elite residential district lay spread across a drafting table. He fli

“Well, whoever you report to, tell them that….” “Leona?” Steph’s voice comes from behind me, and I freeze. “Luna Leona? Forgive me,” the omega bows. His head almost touching the ground, but I ignore him, turning to face Stephanie. She looks completely different. She now has long, raven-black hair. Her skin looks so pale, and she is pregnant. Seems I didn’t see her clearly the last time I saw her. “Oh, my god. I never…I didn’t think…” “Is your brother in? I would like to speak to him,” I reply, not bothering to buy her fake tears. I have had enough fake people.

Her next words nearly give me a heart attack. “There are two things, actually. Sebastian and I got married in Vegas two days ago.” My stomach drops. “What?!” “There was nothing I could do, Loriah.” She cries. “He brought it up and I couldn’t dissuade him. I’m so sorry.” This only means one thing — Zakari is really my step brother now. “I don’t have much time, but the second thing I want to tell you… Zakari killed his younger brother ten years ago. He murdered Jamal with his own hands…”

He is his step brother . A thousand reasons flooded her mind, each more alarming than the last. What would her father say? What would people think? How could she ever face Julian again, knowing the boundaries they had shattered? 'julian is her Stepbrother .' That thought alone made her chest tighten with dread. How could I have let this happen?

Of course, I didn’t tell him—my adoptive parents just blurted it out to Harper’s family. ‘Damn it, I forgot again! Harper Lewis and William Bailey were childhood friends!’ Then around the time Harper became a middle schooler, he moved away again, and the two reunited in their twenties—that was the content of Episode 1. But I had no idea they’d be next-door neighbors! Was there such a mention? I’m pathetic for forgetting most of the settings…! “Brother! Why are you ignoring me!” So that means Bailey Gabriel, my current body, is also acquainted with Harper Lewis.

It felt like my insides were in twists. "I knew she wasn't going to say no. She's not a geek." Shelly said, giving my shoulders a squeeze. Okay, maybe I also didn't want to disappoint Shelly McKenzie too. But then the bottle started to spin, the game began and my heart knew no rest. People were being dared to suck people's toes, and someone had to kiss seven places on someone’s body. Thankfully no privâtes, but still! That's when I found out Penelope was Jared's twin sister. He kept screaming: fuck you, bro, that's my twin sister.

My eyes burned, my throat dry from praying in whispers that no one heard. Then I heard the door unlock. My sister walked in first, followed by her mother. Sofia held a black dress in her hands. A long, heavy-looking dress. Verena, my stepmother, smiled. “Time to get ready for your big day, dear.” “And you better smile,” Sophia added with a smirk. “We can’t have your lovely husband thinking you don’t want him… now, can we?” I said nothing. Just nodded and walked past them to take my bath.

she said, taking a sip of her soda, “we’re still going shopping after school, right?” I exhaled, shaking my head. “I can’t go.” Her brow furrowed. “Why not?” “My stepfather won’t allow it.” I poked at my food, avoiding her gaze. Leslie let out a disbelieving laugh. “Since when do you listen to your stepfather?” I scoffed, finally meeting her eyes. “Since he came to bail me out while you were too afraid to tell your parents we were lovers.” Her face paled. The color drained so fast I almost felt bad. Almost.

“Like he gave a damn about her.” Laura turned around in her seat, and her voice was calm. Too calm. “This girl needs to learn her place.” “I wanted to wait till the party was over. I really did. But she crossed the line.” Penelope’s hands balled into fists in her lap. “She’s going to pay tonight.” The car turned into a darker road, the trees brushing past the windows. Poppy's eyes darted around, her hands clenched into her dress. She didn’t know where they were going. She didn’t know what they meant.

“And I'm sorry.” Trevor moved forward, his eyes hard. “Why didn't it work out?” “What?” I frowned. “You know, I was patient with you. Even when you have me a bunch of cock and bulk stories…” “What?...I don't know what you're talking about.” “Oh,no need to hoe anymore. I know you're fucking your stepbrother.* My eyes widend. “What? Are you insane?” “You didn't deny it.” he cocked his head to the side.
