The Devil's Prey (The Devil's Knights MC Series) Book 2

The Devil's Prey (The Devil's Knights MC Series) Book 2

Margo said, surprising the young woman. “Why did they take us? Why do that to so many people?” Penny asked. “I’m going to be blatantly honest with you.” Margo began leaning forward. “What is happening is that people like Bernard are kidnapping people for forced breeding. Believe it or not it's actually a war crime. What they’re doing is they’re taking people with superior genes and using them to breed.” “What?” Penny whispered. “Why would they do that?” “I still don’t know…What I do know is that the success of the birth determines the fate of both the breeder and the child.”

So this is the second book to the series then right? Loved the first one even though the cliff hanger ending had me all upset wishing things for Margo and Kane could have been easier. Plus those poor kids being ripped away from Margo! Can't wait to see Bernard finally get his long awaited doom.

The Charismatic Charlie Wade

The Charismatic Charlie Wade

Just as Fleur was taking the helicopter back to New York, Harrison was lying weakly on the bed. His eye bags were large and black, indicating that he had spent yet another sleepless night. Harrison had been constantly tormented mentally and emotionally over the past few days, and the ongoing devastations had reached a climax early this morning. He never expected that Hank's pursuit of Biden would ultimately lead Zekeiah to commit suicide by arson. Harrison was even more overwhelmed upon discovering that Zekeiah was a member of the Qing Eliminating Society.

The Beloved

The Beloved

I will do what is needed to make sure you reach the potential I know you have, it is why you have been reborn. Ever since I planned that fateful night, I have rejoiced in the changes that I have learned about Hunter. I had no remorse when Bathilda disposed of that pitiful wife of his, and that unborn seed. The child would have died anyway considering the tricks I continued to play on her. Humans are so stupid. All it took was very untraceable amounts of arsenic that were formulated through magic to only attack the fetus. They never suspected a thing, every time I learned that she received positive pregnancy results. I gave her the serum in her tea during the times when I would see her. I did

The Billionaire's Unwanted Wife

“This is what happens when you ruin my things. Your hand is useless anyway. It’s better to burn it so you learn.” He let go. Hazel fell to the floor, holding her burnt hand, crying and rolling in pain. Her skin was blistered and red, raw and hurting like hell. “Clean up the mess,” Xander said, turning his back. “And throw that shirt away. It’s ruined because of you.” Time went by, and Hazel became more like a machine than a human. She worked, she was beaten, she was starved, and she survived. One day, they had to go to a family event outside the house. They had to dress up—They forced Hazel to wear nice clothes too, so people wouldn't talk. Go Away, My Stepbrother

Go Away, My Stepbrother

When Burgess returned home and pushed open the study door, an angrily ashtray was thrown straight in his direction. Burgess turned his head to avoid it, walked up to old Harrison, and said calmly, "I've sent someone to deal with the news." Old Harrison stared at him, "Is Oprah pregnant with your child?" "She is," Burgess answered without any hesitation. Old Harrison was furious and threw the pen on the table at him again. After a while, he finally calmed down and ordered, "Give her a sum of money and let her have an abortion as soon as possible to minimize the impact on our Harrison family."

The Story of Marriage

The Story of Marriage

So I began to adjust my position calmly: first relax my shoulder and back muscles, tuck my arms to my chest to reduce the space my body took up, then slowly support the floor with my elbows and shift my center of gravity back little by little. The whole process lasted nearly ten minutes. My face flushed with effort, and my arms and knees were dusted, but I never gave up. Finally, with one slow push, my shoulder broke free from the bed frame, and I pulled myself completely out from under the bed. I sat on the floor, gasping, holding the recovered flannel box, both amused and exasperated. It was just a small household accident—no thrill, no inappropriate subtext, only embarrassment and the sat
