The Alpha's lantern mate

The Alpha's lantern mate

Although the note seemed bizarre, my conscience cautioned me that something was amiss. I was starving so I decided to cook spaghetti. Filling my stomach with spaghetti, chili cheese toast, and orange juice, I concluded to take a nap and later, ask Greg about the weird holiday from training. There was no way someone could cancel the training or miss the training in my previous pack. Considering the Black Moonstone pack's lowest rank, it must be the lack of training and harmony in the pack. “Letty, are you alright?” Marcus barged into the hall and shouted while breathing heavily as if he ran a marathon.

Replaced by His First Love

Replaced by His First Love

I stood in the wreckage of the nursery, looking at the silver-oak wolf carving Marek had given Leo—now nothing but a pile of splinters and scorched dust. "The Marrow Protocol," I rasped, my voice sounding like raw meat being dragged over a gravel road. "Tell me exactly what that means, Marcus." Marcus stood at the jagged opening where the windows used to be, his face illuminated by the sickly purple flares of the Council ships retreating into the upper atmosphere.

Rejected And Disowned Now Claimed By Four Ruthless Alphas

Dagen POV I smirk between them, and move back. "The floor is yours, fight for our amusement." The Omega shifts her weight, then casts a quick glance downward at the polished marble beneath her feet. “This floor is marble. It’s slippery. Fighting here doesn’t seem safe.” Is she for real? Safe? One of them is dying. How is that safe? Is she hoping we call time before the final hit? She's wrong. I don’t bother to hide my irritation. I tilt my head and let the edge of a smile creep into my voice.

Philip still pointed at Susan and Madam Purcell on the screen. Marvin narrowed his eyes before he said with a smile, “I can accept this question. The 12 Sacred Halls are a little inferior to them. I must give you a piece of advice. Even if you have a special status and a powerful force behind you, you really shouldn’t mess with them.” Philip smiled, thanked Marvin for his kindness, and finally said, “You should have the list for tonight's ball, right?” Marvin frowned, looked at Philip nervously, and asked, “What do you want to do?”

love this book...the way the writer builds up the characters most especially the ML..but i was wondering why would the ML have to endure such humiliations from his inlaws when he could just show them his real 'him' as well and the enormous power that he holds considering the status of his family...w

The Exiled Princess

“We are going to die.” “Lucian,” Marek snapped, “stop panicking.” “I will stop panicking when it stops growing legs.” The spark vanished into my bedroom with its stolen goods. We heard soft scrabbling and a sound that could only be described as tiny construction noises. I turned to Marek. “We need to see what it is doing.” “No,” Marek said immediately. “Absolutely not. You are not walking into whatever trap it is building.” “It is not building a trap,” I said.

A Mix Of Two Worlds

“You might be right, look at the slabs of stone” Alex did, he squinted at the stones, heart hammering as the faint runes pulsed. The symbols weren’t random, they seemed to glow with meaning, though what they meant he had no idea. Orin leaned forward, his voice low. “They’re marked. I believe some are safe and some aren’t.” “Which means what exactly?” Maya asked. “Step on the wrong one,” Marcus. “And down you go” A low growl came from Malric, his feline eyes narrowed. “So how do we tell which is which?”

For The Fifth Vow

For The Fifth Vow

Across town, in a very different kitchen, Mabel du Prée sat at Marvella’s table with a cup of coffee and an opinion. “You’re being too calm,” Mabel said. Marvella sighed. “Good morning to you too.” “I mean it,” Mabel went on. “Your son is about to propose to a woman who already got more ex-husbands than I got church shoes, and you’re… baking?” Marvella continued rolling out dough. “Stress baking. It’s different.” Mabel sniffed. “You should be hiring investigators.” “I raised Marcus,” Marvella replied. “I know when he’s drifting and when he’s anchored. He’s anchored right now.”

Barun told them. “That’s indeed concerning,” Jai replied, looking only slightly concerned. “But I don’t see its connection with fire slimes.” “Slimes eat anything, even they can digest bones, and some usually work together with other monsters to get food. Not all monsters want to team up with different race, but Starwolf is one of the monsters that doesn’t mind working together with slimes. The wolves get the meat, while the slimes get the bones,” Barun explained to him.

“I won’t permit that manifestation. We’ve come too far.” Susann looked at both of them, her gaze softening barely. “You two are on this collectively now. There’s no going lower back, but just know that Howard is risky when he feels threatened; you need to trust each other and live targets. Don’t allow him to see any weakness.” Marie nodded, though she ought to experience the anxiety tightening in her chest. “Okay, I’ll try, but you know it’s difficult, Susann. I’m scared. What if we lose everything?”

The Hidden Princess At All-Boys Alpha Academy

I turn my attention back to the marble, and I do – willing it first to lift, and then to move, and then to…I don’t know, do anything. My whole body is sweating after about fifteen minutes of concentration, but then Alvez sighs and drops my hand. “It was good work, Clark,” he says, smiling at me with encouragement as he claps me on the shoulder. “It may just be that our particular magics do not speak to each other. Shall we switch it up?” Alvez claps his hands in the air and asks for results, but when no one reports any ability to make the marble do anything at all, he just sighs and puts us in new couples.

I’m totally obsessed with this book! It’s so well written. The characters in this book are so deep and significantly different from one another. It gives this book the depth that most of the novels lack of. Furthermore, the story is interesting, adventurous, funny yet touching or even scary at times

I’ve read quite a few books on here, both completed and in progress, and this author is hands down the best author of them all so far. Her writing is intelligent and well thought out, her chapters vary in length for the story not for the app, and the plots & character arcs are just… fantastic. 11/10
