The three magic Knights Leaders went out of the portal and stood on the three chairs placed on the sides of the King’s chair. “And let’s welcome our Kingdom’s Magic Leader, King Magnus!” everyone rose from their seats to welcome the King. King Magnus is a fire mage, my father met with him once and I remembered that his aura is as tremendous as my father. He talked to me before and he was really kind but he’s aura is just so powerful that even though he showed kindness towards me, I still kept a distance.

The coffee in my hand was long forgotten when Zeke tapped the page, right where the word ‘Conjuration’ sat in bold, blood-red letters. “There are only seven types of magic, though. That’s all Cordelia and Rowena said existed.” I shook my head in denial, but the words were printed right in front of my face. Zeke bit down on his lower lip, his expression morphing into what I liked to call his ‘thinking face.’

"Used to be. Gave it up when the stories started costing more than they were worth." That answer carried weight, the kind that invited questions but also warned against them. I set the mug on the low table in front of me and leaned forward slightly. "What kind of stories?" "The kind that get people hurt when they come out wrong. Or when they don't come out at all." I felt a flicker of recognition then, something tugging at the back of my mind like a half-remembered name. "You sound like someone who has been burned by the industry."

Spells danced across the pages, their whispers resounding through the stillness of the room. And then, a glimmer of understanding pierced the veil of my consciousness. The words on the scrolls converged, forming a picture of ancient rituals and forgotten incantations. A surge of anticipation coursed through me. It is a Red amulet that has magic blood stored inside it. If I could find it and have it as mine then I would be able to save everyone.

This is my first time growing plants by myself. After papa helped me settle on what I should grow, he left me to my own device to learn how to grow them. It took a while for me to actually plant them. My magical ability was nowhere near powerful enough to grow tulips, let alone Dewbells. It took a few months of training with papa to finally muster enough magical prowess. Dewbell seeds grow off of a specific type potion laced water, sunlight, and magic energy. My energy levels were pathetic. Not enough to summon a ball from my palms nor enough to seep into the soil to feed into the hungry seeds.

I raised an eyebrow at his story, still not understanding its relevance. "One day the man and the woman had a baby girl. But this girl was no ordinary girl. Shock ripped through my body at his words, but I schooled my face into neutrality. "And what does this fairytale have to do with me?" I asked. Damion burst out laughing and slapped his knee. Within an instant, he had shoved himself off of the stool and dropped down on his knees in front of me so that we were eye to eye.

I tip-toe and take it out. I look around and finally settle down on a short ladder, which I hadn’t noticed before and open the book. I skim through and to my dismay, find nothing. “Not a single mention,” I mutter under my breath. I shouldn’t have expected to find much. I take a deep breath and begin to peruse again. All the books have little to no mention of mages. Not a lot of things have been written. ‘As if they will keep a record of a monster,’ Ruelle sneers suddenly, irked. I let out a heavy sigh.

He had changed into a King's attire and his hair was slicked back neatly as always, except for one strand that rested slightly below his eyebrow.
