Talia hissed, ripping her arm out of my grip, her eyes flashing with irritation.
"Kelsey knows," I snapped, my voice a harsh, low whisper, my jaw clenched so tight it ached. "She found my phone. She read the chat, Talia. She ran out of the gala."
Talia didn't even blink. Her expression remained perfectly smooth, a small, completely unbothered shrug moving her shoulders. "So? We'll just find a way to play it off. It's not a big deal, Malik. Something just came out of us talking about the other thing. We can easily explain it away."
