“Something happened. Her voice was not natural. It was restless.” Irene on the other line, transferred her cellphone to her left ear.
“Hmmm. The restless Violet! That, of course, belongs to Monet."
Marie intended for the guards to hear it loudly, so she clicked the speaker. While she knew it was not permitted to speak loudly there, she needed to dissuade them from the monitors that were everywhere tracking her movements. She was an invited visitor.
