Gildeon pulled back just enough to catch his breath. His hands spread wide on the bar top, his gaze locked onto hers. “You are my possession, Arah,” he rasped, his voice deep and authoritative. “Yes, I’m going to control you.”
Her face quivered. “You’re a cold, heartless asshole!” she spat through clenched teeth, her fingers knotted in his shirt, clutching it as if to anchor herself.
He tipped his head, his fingers pressing hard into the bar top. “Maybe I am,” he said darkly. “But I’m still your husband, Araheen.”
