Book Two: Fight or Flight Sweat dripped into Ash's eyes, momentarily obscuring his opponent. He shook his head to clear the cobwebs from the last punch he took. He ducked another jab and hit his opponent with a series of strikes to the side and back that brought grunts of pain from his opponent. Van Koslov, otherwise known as The Brick, went down onto one knee, panting.

Just like everything else the department's tried to pin on the guy. "Not this time, partner," she murmured huskily, finishing her coffee and staring out the dirty window into the busy city street beyond. She carelessly shoved long bangs off her face and behind an ear. "The department never had me before. This time he's mine." After a further ten minutes of bantering they finally pushed away from the table and headed back to the station to face the baddest bad guy to ever grace their offices. Vladimir Sitnikov was royalty among the city's underworld, and he was stewing in their dingy interrogation room thanks to the dogged persistence of Officer Jane McKinley.

I stated. "And your little trick earlier could have gotten you killed, your lucky I have as much control as I do, if I was a new born I would have ripped out your throat without thinking twice" I said causing him to lean back a little bit. "And for the last bit of the little trickster trio" I said looking over next to Cyrus "Sebastian" I called out causing him to look at me. "Pickpocketing from a cop is quiet dangerous and there's not much to want but it must be difficult for greed to cope with that huh" I said causing him to scoff.
