Victoria: A Novel Novels & Stories

The heavy rain returned late that evening, washing over the wide glass windows of the Sterling penthouse. The city lights burned bright below, but inside the main living room, the atmosphere was quiet, warm, and safe. Victoria sat on the plush velvet sofa, wearing a comfortable silk robe over her clothes. She held a cup of warm chamomile tea in her hands, watching the rain run down the glass. The victories of the past two days were still settling into her mind. Dominic was in a cell, Lady Vivienne’s company was stripped of its power, and the trade board was now fully under her control.

And now, it's the same vicious circle of to eat or be eaten. I once thought that if I found my perfect one – everything will be alright. But that stupid idea vanished into thin air when I inherited the original Victoria's memories of her life. She once loved the first prince but what she got back caused her death. I owe it to Victoria, this life. So I am not dying again helplessly like in the car crash or dying stupidly because of love. No. I will play this life like I always do, by devouring all those who stepped on my path.

He told himself. Victoria went to her own room and started packing her belongings. As she put her clothes inside the suitcase, she stumbled across the box with the cross necklace once again and stared at it. Her mind wandered back to Dante and the time they spent together. “Had I come with you that day, would things end up differently now?” She asked herself as she grabbed the box and put it inside her suitcase. “There is no point in regretting what has happened. I need to move on and restart my life now.” She told herself as tears streamed down her face. All of her belongings fit inside a single suitcase. She looked at her own room one more time.

"That one." She bought it. He said nothing about being right. She liked that about him. The third day it rained. Again. The summer-ending rain, the kind that meant the season was actually over now, the warmth giving way to the first real cold. She stood at the studio window in the morning and watched it come down on Shoreditch and felt the year turning. Viktor appeared at ten with two coffees. "We could stay in," he said. "If the rain"

Someone knocked on the door from the outside. Victoria asked, "Who's there?" "It's me. Are you sleeping soon?" Victoria could hear that it was Lena's voice. She replied, "Not yet. Come on in." Lena walked into the room and watched as Victoria sat up on her bed. Victoria was wearing a collarless silk inner garment, with her neckline slightly opened. A cluster of love bites was clearly shown on her neck and chest area. Lena was shocked as she said, "Young people are just so full of energy.

•• Damien’s POV ••• Victoria had always been fire. But now she was ice. And worse than the flames I could handle—I could burn with her, scorch the world beside her. But this cold? This silence? It was killing me. She avoided me. Perfectly. Deliberately. Like a ghost that refused to haunt me but still left the scent of regret in every room she touched.

" Azrael shouted, her falling hot tears, creating a small fire on the ice slab. "Of course, it isn't her fault. It's just that history is repeating itself. I know that she is not Madeline, who killed her mate with her bare hands so that she could rule the world alone. She is victoria. But don't worry, unlike Madeline who was a greedy human with enormous powers, Victoria is just a soft-hearted girl with a little bit of sarcasm. She will be able to handle all of us, and let's see who she chooses in the end." Daniel Neptune said.

Once we are there, Nikolay leads us to his office, up close I notice that he has a grim expression, it’s subtle, but I can tell that something is not right. “I have some sad news,” he announces as he takes a seat behind his desk. “Victoria, your family was killed this morning. Their house was attacked, the perpetrators used machine guns that went through the walls and windows. They died on the spot, they didn’t even make it to the hospital.”

Ethan stayed rooted in place, his heart pounding. Lena had no idea what she was up against. And he wasn’t sure if he could protect her from what was coming. Because one thing was certain,Victoria wasn’t going to let this go. And when Victoria wanted someone destroyed, she didn’t stop until they were in ruins. Lena sat in her hotel room, her laptop open, the glow from the screen casting eerie shadows on the walls. The city outside was alive with twinkling lights and the occasional honk of passing cars, but she barely registered any of it. Her mind was consumed by one person—Victoria Caldwell.
