I tell myself. I still try hard to remember, even though I can not. I shake my head and hit my hands with my head. Just then, a weird feeling starts to kick in as it seems I start to feel something. However, what I feel is grief and sadness. I have this overwhelming emotional pain like I have never had before. It is really deafening.

My heart beat wild. My eyes blurred. The music blasted louder, the lights flashed harsher, but inside me something else grew. A feeling I didn’t know. A feeling that wasn’t just anger or jealousy or sadness. It was bigger, stranger, darker. It filled me until I felt full, too full, like I might break apart. I whispered again, voice shaking, “What is this?" For a moment, I didn’t feel empty anymore. I felt full—full of something I never knew existed inside me.

I had forgotten what it meant to be me. It was a strange feeling, one that I couldn't quite put into words. It wasn't sadness, exactly, although there was a hint of regret. It wasn't happiness, either, although there was a sense of relief. It was just a feeling of...emptiness, I suppose. A feeling of being unfulfilled.

That’s not even the worst of it. I feel something, something inside me, something that isn’t me. I don’t know how to explain it better than that. It's almost like I feel it, whatever it is, moving around under my skin. Speaking of my skin, it feels so tight and stretched. It’s strange but it's like I've grown but skin hasn’t. The feeling is almost painful. Whatever this is, it's not so bad in the mornings and afternoons but in the evening and at night, especially after sunset it seems, it's oppressive and nearly all I can think about.

I know the adrenalin feeling of winning over and over, and I know how it feels to have a joint and to zone out, but this feeling I don’t know. It’s a feeling of wanting someone or something so bad that you’re willing to give up everything for that. It’s a feeling that you can’t see or touch, but it stares at you brighter than the sun and cuts you deeper than a knife. It feels like there's a bomb within me that is waiting to explode, and I don't know what this feeling is. "What's wrong with you?" I ask myself as I gulp down the sudden lump that forms in my throat.
