When Did Chaucer Write The Canterbury Tales Novels & Stories

I suppose we will never hang out again, and I will never get to find out the answer. My Brit Lit class is awfully slow this morning. I usually enjoy references to Shakespeare. However, today's topic is Geoffrey Chaucer, the famous fourteenth-century writer. He observed people, watched them, and put them into his stories. It reminds me of Jeremey Davis and how he people watches from the perch of his big tree in Harris Park. "Lily, tell us what you would do if you were Geoffrey Chaucer?" Crap, I wasn't paying attention. I sure hope I can wing this.

The chair scraped the floor with a shrill sound, making me want to put my hands on my ear, but I resisted the temptation to avoid adding an extra mile to that wicked smirk on the forty-something, hawk-eyed professor. “Um…Yes, sir…” “Oh, please don’t be shy. Go ahead, we’re all eager to hear you.” Too bad, my stuttering did just that. And too bad he had no clue who he was dealing with. So I put on a big smile, and stated my answer. Had the satisfaction of watching his face pale after every word I spoke. “Geoffrey Chaucer was born in London in 1342, though the exact date and location are unknown. His father and grandfather were vintners but it was also found that forerunners of his family were
