Novel & Cerita Wonder Chapters

Sienna’s POV I’m running through a cloud of darkness. I can’t see anything, but I keep going, searching for a way out. My feet hit the ground hard, the sound echoing like I’m trapped in some endless void. My chest is tight, my breath short. Then suddenly, I see something ahead, a faint outline, maybe a doorway. I rush toward it and stumble into what looks like a garage.

Leaning towards the water, I dip my fingers in and then rub them against the bottom half of the letter, the empty portion. Shaking off the water droplets from my hand, I hold up the letter to the light and stare at it. For a moment, nothing happens. And then- Words begin to appear in white ink. Against the light, they’re easier to see, although a still a strain. ‘They’re coming again. They know. I’ve made arrangements. You’ll be safe, Taylor. I promise. They won’t get to you. Let them follow me. It’s going to be okay. Just wait. Expect the unexpected. Nothing is what it seems.’

My toes curl in growing fear as he details the growing insanity that I am expected to experience, the darkness that is meant to be second nature to me. This can’t be right. I’m not some monster. But the kind of detail written in here speaks of someone who has experience. I slam the book shut, my heart racing, not wanting to read more. “I’m not insane,” I say loudly to the empty room, my voice uneven. “Right?” It’s a rhetorical question meant for no one, so when a voice answers from behind me, “I don’t think so,” I nearly fall off my seat. Kathleen is standing behind me, beaming. “I was wondering why you were heading towards the restricted section.”
