Ember's POV

Taking things slowly was the best thing that I could do to myself because I was aware that I was the only family that my children had. Dying right now was off the table and I didn't even want to be involved in all of these dramas that threatened to destroy me.

But I was bored after a while. Trent, who promised to come back the previous day, said that he had to stay back for something else which I didn't quite find funny but wasn't annoyed about like that.

I was ready to leave when I should and make sure that I was able to get a hold of other people that could accompany me to the dungeon to see how the prisoners were faring peradventure they decided to play funny.

Two guards followed me and off we went to the pack dungeon. I was just sitting and waiting to see what next would happen. As I moved ahead, I was seeing different people waiting and looking about while I tried to understand why they were acting that way.
