Chapter 34 – A Name Like Light
Diana’s POV
One month later, the naming ceremony was finally here.
The house felt different that morning….lively, full of movement and joy. My little boy was already growing fast. His smile could melt ice, and his eyes still held that same quiet wisdom that sometimes made me pause.
Mama had woken up early. She had already cooked two full pots of jollof rice and pepper soup before I even opened my eyes. The whole house smelled like celebration.
Outside, plastic chairs were lined up under a small rented canopy. The neighborhood women had helped us decorate. Some tied balloons to the front door. Others helped hang a small banner that said “Welcome, Little Star.”
