The sun was high in the sky, shining down on the pack grounds like it too was celebrating with us.

We finally had peace.
The crowd was full of smiling faces. Some wolves were dancing, others eating. Children ran around playing, their laughter mixing with the soft music playing through the drums and flutes.
I stood at the center of it all. Happy. Proud. Grateful.
Asher stood beside me, our fingers laced together. His eyes were on me, soft and warm, and the triplets clung to his legs, giggling as they tried to play hide-and-seek under his robes.
It felt perfect.
So when Asher asked the crowd to quiet down, I stepped forward with a smile and lifted my voice.
“Thank you all,” I said, placing a hand on my chest. “From the moment I stepped into this pack, I never expected to be your Luna. I only wanted to love and protect. To be a mother. A mate. A warrior.”
