Chapter — After the Storm

Zarina’s POV

The sky was soft and golden as the sun began to set behind the trees. It painted the entire packhouse in warm colors, like the world itself was at peace.

And for the first time in a long while, so was I.

I stood at the balcony just outside our bedroom, watching our triplets run across the garden with squeals of laughter. Their tiny feet kicked up the grass as they chased each other, shouting nonsense and giggling. My heart felt so full, I thought it might burst.

Behind me, I heard Asher’s footsteps.

He came close and wrapped his arms around me from behind, resting his chin on my shoulder.

“They’re loud,” he murmured, smiling.

“They’re happy,” I said.

He pressed a kiss to my neck and whispered, “So am I.”

We stood like that for a while, just watching them, feeling the peace that had come after so much pain. The lies, the stares, the hurtful whispers… it all felt far away now. Like a storm that had passed and left the earth even greener.

Chapter 174 – My Place, FinallyZarina’s POVI woke up before the sun.The room was quiet. The only sound was the soft breathing of my children sleeping peacefully. I walked over to the window and pushed the curtain aside gently. The sky was still dark, with just a touch of blue. The morning air felt fresh, but my heart was heavy and full of thoughts.Today was the day Asher had planned.A public gathering.A gathering to set things right.I held onto the windowsill, staring out into the open space where the pack would gather. I could already feel the nervousness building in my chest. This pack… they had judged me, doubted me, and even hated me at some point. Today, they were going to hear the truth. And for the first time, they would hear it not from rumors—but from Asher, the Elders, and me.I heard the door open behind me.“Asher?” I turned softly. He stepped in, already dressed in his black Alpha clothes. His face looked calm, but I knew him. I knew his heart. He was worried too.

Chapter 172– The Alpha’s BattleZarina’s POVThe silence in the pack was not peaceful. It was the kind of silence that came before a storm. It had been two days since the truth about Cara’s fake pregnancy was revealed in front of the entire pack. Two days since the seer, with eyes like glass and a voice that shook the earth, declared to everyone that Cara never carried Asher’s child. Some wolves were still in shock. Some refused to believe it.Some… just waited for the fallout. And I was one of them.I sat on the balcony of our room, watching the horizon. The triplets were inside napping, and Asher was with the council, dealing with more questions, more whispers, more politics. My fingers wrapped around the railing tightly, and I couldn’t ignore the pit in my stomach.Cara hadn’t been seen since the seer left. Her room had been guarded. Food was brought to her, but she never came out. Not once.Until this morning. That’s when the guards informed us.She made a call.To her father. An

Chapter 170 – The Council’s JudgmentZarina’s POVThe day after the gathering, everything felt too quiet.Even the wind seemed to move more gently, like it was afraid to disturb the silence that had fallen over the pack. The truth had been revealed—Cara was never pregnant. Her lies were exposed before everyone. The seer had spoken, and the spirits had confirmed it.But somehow… not everyone believed it.I sat by the window in our room, brushing my fingers over the small wooden rattle one of the nannies had made for the triplets. The sunlight filtered through the curtains, warm against my skin, but it didn’t calm my heart.“Asher,” I said softly, turning to him as he buttoned his shirt. “Do you think they’ll finally let this go?”He paused for a moment, his hand frozen mid-button, then slowly looked at me. His expression was hard to read.“I wish I could say yes,” he replied. “But last night, I received a message from Elder Tovan. The council wants to meet. Immediately.”My heart sank.

⸻Chapter 170 – Divided HeartsZarina's POVThe silence after the seer spoke was louder than any scream.Cara was still on her knees, her hands shaking, tears streaming down her face. She looked up at the seer in shock, as if begging her to take it back. But the seer didn't. She just stood there, calm, her hand now by her side."There is no child in her womb," the seer said again, slower now, her voice a thunderclap that rolled through the air. "She has lied to this pack."The words sliced like lightning.I didn't move. My feet were planted, my heart pounding in my chest. Asher stood beside me, silent but fuming. His fists were balled. I knew him well enough to feel the conflict in his heart. But before we could say or do anything… a third voice cut through the tension."That doesn't make her a liar."They all turned. One of the elders, Elder Mica, stepped forward. He was one of the oldest, and he was always kind to Cara."She is still the daughter of Alpha Cedric of the Red Pine Pack

⸻Chapter 169 The Gathering of TruthZarina’s POVThe day finally came. The sky was soft with morning light, and the wind danced gently across the packhouse grounds. It felt like something important was about to happen. I stood by the window, holding a cup of warm tea in my hands, staring out at the large clearing where the gathering would happen. This was Asher’s plan, but we both agreed it was time. Time for truth. Time for peace. It wasn’t just about me anymore. It was about our children. About our future. About the pack we were building, the one we wanted to make stronger. And lies had no place in it.“Asher,” I whispered as he stepped into the room, fully dressed in his Alpha robes. “Are you sure?”He came over, placed his hand on my shoulder, and kissed my forehead. “She’s played this game long enough. If she’s lying—then she’ll be exposed in front of everyone.”“And if she somehow escapes it again?”“She won’t.” His voice was firm. “The seer we’re bringing today… she sees what’
