Astrid's POV:
I was able to finally got on my feet and it hurt like hell. And no chains around my feet. I saw the reflection of my cleavage in the broken mirror.
'Salem. 'It was written. I clawed my flesh and cried out of frustration when it didn't vanish.
I helplessly lied down on the bed and the dark spots danced around my eyes. As I got my senses back, the anger filled my heart again.
"Where is Emma? " I muttered.
I shouted for them to come and give me the girl. I threw insults at Salem, banging the door of my room when I heard the footsteps of any person passing through the corridor.
But no one paid any attention to my screams. I even pleaded with them to let me see her. At least for once. I had to make sure she was safe and knew that I would escape only with her!
There was no way I was going to leave that little girl behind when I had seen how cruel Salem could become if provoked.
"I will never marry you, Salem! " I screamed at the top of my lungs.
