“How is he going as a new father?” I looked up from the file in my hands, and Beta Alexander paused his reading of the pack report.
“It’s incredible! These little rascals are my heart and soul. I can’t fathom letting them go for training!” Beta Alexander exclaimed dramatically, letting out an exaggerated sigh.
“Don’t worry; you’ll do just fine. Remember, they’re destined to inherit the Royal positions.”
We talked more about random things and the next training program for Royal Guards, which would be conducted again in two days. However, my mind kept drifting back to Astrid. She was running quite late, and she should have arrived by now.
