I suddenly lost the motivation to work because of the things he said earlier. I know I’m not the only one he scolded and lectured, but it felt like all of it was directed at me.
What else do I have to do for him to trust me? Because the way he looked at me earlier, it was like he had no trust in my abilities. It’s like everything I do is trash in his eyes. Like I’ve never done anything right or good for his company.
It’s exhausting, and I feel like I just want to rest.
“Athena, let’s have lunch first. You can finish that later. There’s still plenty of time, and the deadline has been adjusted anyway,” Trixie said as she approached my table.
