I was smiling. A dreamy, soft smile with my eyes closed.
My heart pounded with vigor, like it was being resuscitated from the dead, my legs barely functioned from the beguiling tremor that had settled in my bones, and my hair was a whole crime scene of tangled sweat and lust.
But that didn’t faze me. Not in the slightest bit. I had this unknown sense of peace that made me immune to all the problems of this world: I was sated, spent, and just content with the way things were.
