Suzzie's POV
My legs wouldn't bulge as the words from Tyler seem unbelievable.
A date, really?
Was Tyler trying to infuriate his mother?
"Suzzie," he called me again.
I forced my feet to the floor.
"She dare not leave this place," Mrs Skyler shot at Tyler.
"She works for me, mother." Tyler argued, his voice so calm yet firm.
"And I was the one who hired her," Mrs Skyler said.
"I don't need to be reminded about that, mother. Suzzie, please go change," Tyler said to me.
My legs did move and I started towards my room. I didn't know what I was doing anymore. Yesterday, they both had quarelled over me which they'd not fully settled, and here again mother and son were bickering over me.
I knew Tyler was standing up for me but how long would this continue?
It was obvious that Tyler Skyler had never defended anybody or go against his mother in the past, so having to watch him defend me was something that really shook Mrs Skyler.
