Chaos Descended
The ground under them trembled with the Guardian's rekindled howl, its luminous eyes now burning with an even more intense rage. It was obvious that it was consuming the Rift's energy as it lunged, faster and more vicious.
Its enormous claws swung at Zara, who gritted her teeth and avoided being knocked off balance. “This thing doesn’t stay down!” she screamed, trying to see whether Elara and Lyra had any new plans.
Elara sliced at the creature's tendons with her daggers as she darted between its legs. "We must locate its centre!" she retorted. It's still attached to the Rift for some reason. If we ruin that, it might be gone forever!
