Now led by Kael and his group, the rebel network had grown to be a nuisance for the Syndicate. Every attack on their operations served as a spark in the escalating fire of resistance and a declaration of defiance. But the stakes increased with every step forward.
A Quiet Meeting
Their next operation was staged in the thick woodland outside Darian's cabin. Rebel commanders from all around the area arrived one by one under the cover of darkness, moving carefully and methodically. The gathering was a risk; there would be disastrous repercussions if the Syndicate learnt where they were.
The table inside the cabin was covered with a map, with green pins signifying possible rebel supporters and red ones indicating Syndicate installations.
"This is their regional processing centre," Darian stated, gesturing to a group of red pins. They keep important operational data there, co
