She walked in front of me, while I was buried deep in my thoughts.
“About last night,” She turned and faced me abruptly. She looked adorably flustered, that my anger vanished like a wisp of smoke.
“It was a mistake.” My words were a sharp contrast to the way my heart was pounding so fast like it'd fall out of my chest. I caught the brief look of disappointment in her eyes, before it disappeared.
“Oh…” Her lashes fluttered low, and she gripped the hem of her shirt nervously.
