Chapter Seven.

Mirah

Fear.

Languid fear crept through me, as I backed against a wall. The words weren't coming out, even though I tried.

Tall, with broad shoulders, the white-black haired man stared down at me.

“A word, young lady?” In the same bland voice, he asked. He looked like an older version of Zeke.

I needed no one to tell me that this was Zeke's father. An elegant woman in a flowing green gown, stood to the side. And their demeanor was anything but welcoming.

‘Say something Mirah.’

Goosebumps peppered my arms. I'd never felt so afraid in my entire 21 years of life.

In the place where Zeke had cold gray eyes, this man's eyes were completely black. He was dressed in an all black outfit, with an equally black crown.

“We'll take that as a yes.” The woman beside him said with a cold smile. My throat flexed, and I nodded.

“Y-yes.” I said in a small voice, and pushed off the wall.

As I tailed them, memories of last night flashed through my mind.

Zeke had fucked me.
