"Descendant of Athena?" I question.

"Yes, the Goddess of wisdom and war. Beau isn't much into the war part, but he is able to strategize quickly when needed. As for wisdom, you probably won't meet many others as wise as him." she explains, and I nod my head as I take it all in.

"Are you all descendants?" I ask, making her smile.

"Yes. Some of us closer than others, and some with more abilities. Beau, for example is extraordinarily strong and incredibly wise, where Salem here has many traits due to being a descendant of Apollo. God of the sun, prophecy, healing, music, medicine and much more." she begins to explain.

"Apollo, has many different aspects to him and some of his descendants have parts of all and some as few as one. Salem happens to be best with healing and medicine, but he also has natural skills with music, dance and archery. That being said though, he has nothing to do with prophecies or the sun or a few other smaller aspects." she continues, and my eyes widen in surprise.

"That's amazing." I comment, making him smile with a slight blush.

"Thank you." he replies softly.

"Now Levi, is a descendant of Nyx. The Goddess of night. He thrives during the hours of the night and has the ability to create and control the same darkness that falls upon us throughout it whenever he pleases." she continues on.

"Damien, is the descendant of Hades, but on a much closer scale. He's the 5th son of Hades but also the most powerful of them all. He inherited all his father's abilities but doesn't crave the power to take over the throne or want the responsibility of it. That's why he lives here with us." she says.

"I'll be sure to keep that in mind before I accidentally pissing him." I comment, making them both laugh.

"As for Lucien, as you know is your guardian. He is a descendant of Goddess Soteria. Goddess of safety, deliverance and preservation of harm. Most of her descendants are guardians, who are tasked to protect and look out for certain special individuals, preventing any harm from coming to them." she tells me, making me let out a small, annoyed sigh.

Just another thing pointing to all this really being my destiny...

"Lastly, I am a descendant of the Goddess Hecate. Goddess of magic, witchcraft, rituals, ghosts, doorways and creatures of night, like hellhounds. I mostly work with rituals and magic though, but I can engage in some of the other things if I need to." she finishes.

"Wow, okay. You guys really are a unique bunch." I comment, feeling a bit overwhelmed.

"Head feel like its going to explode yet?" she giggles, making me roll my eyes playfully.

"Pretty sure its already exploded and never grown back." I retort.

"Well, creating mirages must be one of your gifts then, because your face looks far too beautiful to have never recovered" she comments with a smirk, making me blush.

"Time to go inside, girls." Salem suddenly states, gazing at something behind us.

We both follow his eyes and look to see dark growing clouds coming towards us.

"I thought it was supposed to be nice out today!" Crimson groans at the sight.

"It was." Salem mumbles uneasily, making her frown.

"Someone must have really..." she starts to say, but a sudden large flash of lightning close to us has me jumping out of my seat.

"A grumble of thunder would have been a nice heads up..." I murmur, holding a hand to my chest to try and stop the rapid beat of my heart.

"Awe, is my little kitten scared?" Crimson teases with a giggle, and I narrow my eyes at her.

A strong gust of wind stops me from replying, just as a heavy pour of rain begins to come down on us.

"Shit. Someone must of really pissed him off." Crimson comments, followed by the loud crackling of thunder, before another flash of lightning strikes through the sky.

We all quickly rush back inside and get dried off before Crimson leaves us to go check all the windows to ensure they were all shut.

"Come on, Angel. Let's go settle by the fire." Salem softly suggests, leading me to the living room and starting a fire.

He grabs a blanket, laying it down in front of the fireplace before sitting down and patting the spot next to him for me to join.

"Zeus is having one of his tantrums. One of the other gods must have pissed him off. Could be a bit before the storm settles." Salem mutters, wrapping an arm around me and pulling me closer to him.

I had never been a fan of thunder and lightning. I knew they couldn't do much damage, but something about them had always unsettled me.

I lay my head on Salem's shoulder, enjoying his comfort and the warm fire in front of us as I tried to tune out the sounds of roaring thunder that only continued to intensify.

"Mila?" Lucien's voice is suddenly heard.

I turn to see him making his way towards us with a frown.

"What's wrong?" I ask, as I get up to meet him.

"I have to leave for a few days, and I can't take you with me." he begins to say, making me frown.

"Please promise me that you will stay here and not even step outside without telling someone. I need you to stay safe until I get back, okay?" he tells me intensely, as he cups my face in his hands.

"I promise, Luce. When do you have to go?" I reply, seeing some of the worry leave his eyes.

He places a gentle kiss on my forehead before pulling me into his chest and holding me tightly.

"In a minute." he mumbles, after a brief pause.

"The weather..." I begin to say, but he stops me.

"I'm immortal, baby girl. This is nothing for me." he reassures, and I let out a small sigh before leaning up and pecking his cheek.

He gives me one last squeeze and another kiss to my forehead before pulling away.

"Levi, is waiting for you in the bedroom." he says, turning to Salem.

"Oh, alright. Excuse me, Angel. I'll be back in a minute." Salem replies, before quickly making his way upstairs.

"Damien filled me in, and don't worry, Luce. I'll make sure to keep her busy and safe while you're away." Crimson states, entering the room suddenly.

"Keep the fun to a minimal." he retorts, making her smirk mischievously.

"Of course. Now, come on, Kitten. I think it's time we go check out our indoor pool room. Don't you agree?" she grins, stealing me away from Lucien.

I quickly give him one last wave before she pulls me out of the room.
