“What the hell Dre, I could have shot you, how did you get in?” I returned the pistol back to its original position.
“You gave me the keys to your house, remember? That's how I got in” I gave it a quick thought trying to remember if I ever did that, he was lying, he picked the lock.
“Hi Andrew” I heard Kate speak from behind me,I turned to look at her, giving her a perplexed look. I had called him Dre earlier,so if she was calling him Andrew, it meant she knew him.
“You two know each other?” I asked, looking from Andrew to Kate,still confused.
“Yes, he's my…uhmm…”
She didn't need to complete her words for me to understand where she was heading, they used to date. Now it was starting to make sense, wh Andrew was so defensive and protective of her,wanting to follow the boss's orders.
