I stood with my arms crossed, my jaw tight as I watched the doctor review the test results.
Every second felt heavier, like the weight of everything was pressing harder against my chest.
Suzanne sat beside me, calmer than I was, her hands resting gently on her stomach like she already knew everything was fine.
I wished I had that certainty.
The doctor glanced up, offering a small nod. "The tests are all clear. Suzanne and the baby are healthy."
