The following day transpired uneventfully, with Emily spending time with Lois and Nani who seemed to be on the path to recovery.
They laughed and enjoyed the lessons taught by Catherine. Even Davies apologized to Emily for the unfortunate incident that had led her to the cells.
Emily, however, felt it was she who should be apologizing to him.
Later on, Emily ran into Drake who behaved amicably around her, regaling her with stories that made her laugh. Lois was taken aback by their friendly exchange and gave Emily a quizzical look when Drake left.
“What was that?” Lois inquired.
“What do you mean?” Emily asked, her face flushing crimson. “We were just talking. He's a cool guy.”
“Even made you laugh. That's quite the commendation for the Alpha,” Lois said.

“See how Davies ended up just for bringing you to the cells. Now, you're talking to Drake,” Lois said with a touch of concern.
