By the time they finished setting up Kat's wardrobe, exhaustion had set in, and the evening had grown late. They had returned some of Emily's items as she insisted on not getting new ones, but she allowed Kat and Fanny to choose their own. Fanny also bought some books to read, adding to her collection.
"Shall we go down for dinner?" Emily, tired yet hungry, suggested. "I need to speak with Davies and Nate."
"Come, Fanny, let's join them," Kat encouraged, pulling Fanny up from her seat. With a clear mind, Fanny followed them downstairs, hoping to foster a positive connection with the pack members if they were to stay.
Taking her seat in the kitchen, Emily motioned for the others to do the same. To her surprise, Elena and Lila were present in the kitchen. Caroline must have convinced them to join or they were there to oversee the cooking. Emily shrugged, not overly concerned.
Fanny was engaged in conversation with Elena, slowly growing more comfortable with the witch who had saved her.
