Annelise's POV
"Do you mind explaining more about that?" It was Ethan. He moves so much like a cat that you wouldn't know when he's behind you or walking.
“Uh, actually. I was trying to say she has the right to do anything here as she wishes," Angela looked so uncomfortable.
Ethan looked confused for a while, “You said?" He asked.
I was also confused as to what he was saying; he looked like he had no idea what Angela was talking about.
On having a closer look at him, I realized that he was on a call; he had an earpod on his ears. A whiff of air escaped my throat at the realization.
He walked away from us, took a bottle of water, and walked out of the kitchen without sparing another glance at us.
Angela heaved a sigh of relief as he left. I left her there after making a cup of cereal for myself. She seemed to respect herself and didn't say anything after that.
