My heart raced in a way I couldn’t explain. I was not expecting him to come all the way to Sebastian's house to get me. I turned to Logan, pretending I was calm.
“Are you always this considerate?” I asked, trying to sound casual. Although my feelings were a mess. Especially after what Sebastian said to me earlier. However, this man knows how to take the burden off from my chest.
Logan looked at me with those unreadable eyes. “Only with you. I do not have to do these things for others,” he said, voice low and smooth.
"Why?" I asked him, almost immediately.
"Why?" He arched his brow, "The answer is simple Haley. Lily adores you and I can do everything for the sake of her happiness.”
I swallowed the lump in my throat and forced a professional smile. “Understood, boss. I will make sure that she is treated well.”
