I sat on the bed watching the wounds on my wrists heal at miraculous speed. I hadn't thought I would gain allies here, but perhaps luck was on my side… at least for now. I wasn't sure how that silver-immunity potion would work, but anything that would lessen the poison effects was more than welcome.
Unfortunately, the fact that I had an ally didn't change much in my current situation. I was still locked in Seth's chamber, and the bastard would come here soon. “Survive,” I muttered, trying to summon my courage.
I knew that surviving in this place would require acting obedient. I hated it, but my options were limited. I had already checked every corner in this chamber, and I was devastatingly certain that the main door was the only way out. Even if the room wasn't guarded and I could somehow unlock the door, I wouldn't know where to run. And even knowing how to leave the castle, where would I go from there?
“Stay calm and pretend,” I murmured, putting on the horrific dress. This one was
