I froze on the spot as my head reeled in what she just said. “Oh, I've got something even better,” she gushed. “You were having an affair with your husband's son, and that’s how you all ended up together. What a perfect soap opera that would be, bye," she chuckled and waved, walking away.
She came here just to plant these things in my head and now her mission was accomplished because it stuck.
I tried my hardest to keep up the good mood, but Zane noticed and asked what was wrong. I lied and said I was just too tired.
He immediately called the driver, we said goodbye to everybody and left. We were supposed to go to the after party but he didn’t want to leave me all alone.
